My first project was to implement a GUI framework in C that was capable of running on a very limited resource micro-controller. Then, using said framework, investigate generating programs from the same model used for another more advanced target. My second project was to make a system that could simulate a Plug and Play device network to facilitate testing of dynamic models. The UI was implemented with SVG and used fancy real-time AJAX techniques long before they were cool.
